The Thermomix TM7

The Thermomix TM7 has arrived, marking a revolutionary shift in smart kitchen technology that moves far beyond simple automation so we decided to carry out a Thermomix TM7 Review seeing as we are TM6 owners. As Vorwerk’s latest flagship, the TM7 is designed not just to follow recipes but to act as a true culinary companion, blending a redesigned aesthetic with advanced AI-ready capabilities.

Whether you are a seasoned home chef or looking to simplify family meals, the TM7 introduces a sleek, all-black design and a massive 10-inch multi-touch display that completely replaces the physical dial found on previous models.

Thermomix TM7 Review - New Flagship Features

The TM7 re-engineers the cooking experience with several standout innovations:

  • Open Cooking Mode: For the first time, you can cook with the lid off at temperatures up to 100°C with no blade rotation, effectively using your Thermomix as a precision-controlled saucepan for stir-frying or reducing sauces.

  • Ultra-Quiet Performance: A new maintenance-free synchronous motor delivers a nearly silent experience. At low speeds, it measures only 30 dB(A)—compared to the TM6's 63 dB(A)—making it ideal for open-plan living.

  • Insulated Cool-Touch Bowl: The 2.2-litre mixing bowl is now wrapped in a thermal protective cover, keeping food hotter for longer while remaining safe to handle even mid-cook.

  • Expanded Steaming Space: The redesigned, rectangular Varoma® steaming attachment is 45% larger than the previous model, providing 6.8 litres of capacity—perfect for batch cooking or family-sized multi-level meals.

  • Manual Browning: Users now have manual control over searing and caramelization up to 160°C, a feature previously restricted to Guided Cooking on the TM6.

The Smarter Way to Cook: AI and Connectivity

At the heart of the TM7 is a multi-core processor and enhanced connectivity designed for the future of AI in the kitchen. The device integrates seamlessly with Cookidoo® 3.0, offering over 100,000 guided recipes directly on its tablet-like screen. New smart features include:

  • Digital Twin Real-Time Feedback: The display mirrors your actions in real-time, such as weighing ingredients down to the gram, ensuring zero guesswork.

  • AI-Ready Platform: Built with a "platform concept," the TM7 is designed to receive regular over-the-air updates, including future AI-supported assistants and voice control.

  • Recipe Handover: Plan your week on your smartphone and instantly send recipes to your TM7 for a fluid, integrated workflow.
